When Moon discovers that Flying Snow has killed Broken Sword out of jealousy, she attempts to avenge his death. Flying Snow initially refuses to fight, but, realizing that Moon is in earnest, draws her sword. Moon dies, having been impaled on Flying Snow's sword.

Yes you do. The storytelling and acting is amazing too, and so is the soundtrack. Zhang Ziyi's role mostly involves her being totally unglamorous, but Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung are sublime. One of my favourite movies of all time!

I just want to point out though that in my opinion, anyone not able to appreciate the beauty and magnificence of this scene is missing the underlying messages there are to it. All aspects of this scene have a specific purpose and refer to something important. On top of that, just taking this scens on its own i think the vast majority would agree that the visuals are stunning to watch. Again, its fine to differ in an opinion though.
